And that parkrunners, was another wed, muddy and slippy Cheadle Hulme parkrun… Even hosing my legs and trainers down at the end couldn’t get rid of the mud, into the wash they have gone as I am sure many of you have done the same. I think from now on I’m going to be bringing my toiletries and towel and jumping straight into the shower after the run (if anyone wasn’t aware the squash section of Grove Park very kindly let us have use of their changing rooms and it includes showers – oooohhh!)
This week and for the first time, we didn’t have anyone recording a new PB, which doesn’t surprise me during our current conditions. But I think everyone deserves a well-done for getting up early and getting out there, completing the run and having fun. I know crossing the line and managing to stay on my feet the entire 5k is THE biggest achievement at the moment haha!
As mentioned by Dave in this mornings run briefing, one of our sponsors of parkrun - Sweatshop, who provide a pair of trainers each month for our runner of the month award, have a nationwide offer on TODAY to all parkrunners. They are offering 20% off everything including sale items. All you have to do is show your parkrunner barcode to the store. Our nearest Sweatshop stores are Hyde, Chill factor, Chorley, and Manchester Arndale.

Finally thank you to the volunteers, without whom we could not function: Sam BLACOW, Dave COCHRANE, James COOPER, David MEALING, Chris TRASK, Paul VALE and Jane VALE.
We are looking for timekeeper, finish tokens and marshal(s) for next Saturday 29th November. We have a full list for Saturday 6th December, we then have Saturday 13th December to work on. If you are able to volunteer do get in touch via Facebook, twitter or email email@example.com
Shall we do something festive for our run on Saturday 20th December, what do you think? Run wearing Christmas hats, fancy dress, I would suggest Christmas jumpers but that would be far too warm for running… Let me know your ideas and suggestions.
As mentioned in the run report a few weeks ago, some parkruns hold additional parkruns on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, we will not be hosting any additional runs outside of the normal Saturdays. However, take a look at the Christmas compendium if you would like to see who is to plan your run(s) (as you can do more than 1 in a day) http://www.parkrun.org.uk/christmas-compendium/
Enjoy the rest of your weekend folks,
No barcode, no results - don’t forget your barcode! #DFYB
