WK #266 (1)
In past years runners have been allowed to do a 'Double' parkrun on this day and it's the only time of the year that it can be done.
This does mean that events have to start at different times to achieve this and this year our three closest neighbours Great Notley - Billericay - Maldon all kindly started at 9am so that we could go at 10:30am.
This enabled runners to get to their chosen event and then over to Chelmsford for their 'Double'.

There were also several groups who decided to run between Great Notley and the new kid on the block Billericay!
Billericay is slightly closer to Chelmsford than Great Notley so that gave an opportunity for others to rise to the challenge of running between events and their challenge is to finish ahead of our tail walkers which they all did...just. A fantastic achievement by all of them, well done.

We hope you have enjoyed our runs over the holiday period and we now go back to our usual day of Saturdays at 9am from now.
Which brings us to Saturday the 6th of January which will be our popular monthly #chasethepacer day.
We are in need of more marshals so please email in if you can volunteer.
Our 5th Anniversary event is a few weeks away on the 20th January so now you need to start thinking about your Fancy Dress and getting inspiration from GBBO!!
A special thanks from the core team to the 482 volunteers who helped put the event on every week last year for the 4,254 individuals who ran, jogged, walked.
