You may not have been as fast as Eliud Kipchoge, who became the first person to ever run a sub 2 hour marathon, but you were still up and out running on a Saturday morning and 68 of you achieved your very own personal best! We had a great number of parkrunners celebrating milestone achievements this weekend.

Theo Barrett and Marley Barrett both reached their 250th parkrun which is an incredible achievement considering that they are thirteen years old. The home made cakes and chocolates were certainly shared and enjoyed by many of us!

We had some special visitors who joined us this week.

WK #360 (3)

Police Officers from Chelmsford and Maldon Community Policing Team ran parkrun and afterwards enjoyed a coffee in the Cafe where they were available to chat about any concerns or issues that local people may have. We hope we made them feel welcome into our parkrun community.

WK #360 (6)

We also had a very early visit from Santa! He was hoping to encourage lots of you to sign up for the Braintree and Great Notley 5k Santa Run on Sunday 15th December that supports the Hope House Charity which helps local homeless people. To find out more details please visit their website HERE
