News & Run Report for Event #382

As we are all aware, parkruns are officially cancelled up to the end of March, there will be a further review based on Government advice at that time.

You can read the latest news from parkrun at the top of this web page on the red banner.

We have seen a few comments/posts on social media about people getting out and running the parkrun course at 9am on Saturday morning.

As tempting as this would be, parkruns wish is that you do not arrange group gatherings at parkrun venues whilst events are suspended.

There are plenty of other hours in the day when you can run and other places too.
We really don't want outdoor activities being curtailed like other countries.
Running is a low risk activity for the virus and exercise is still encouraged but a collective group activity is not, please be sensible.

This week 535 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 28 were first timers and 52 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 38 different clubs took part.
