A fine day greeted our parkrunners and we welcomed the usual band of serious runners, walkers, joggers, kids, buggies, dogs, Nordic Walkers and everyone else who loves to join in the parkrun experience.
Following the record turnout of last week we had another bumper turnout with 288 attendees. We have now had over 4000 unique runners doing over 16000 runs around the park.
73 first timers to Chester - thank you for joining us! 55 PBs - great effort all round.
Congratulations to Juniors Sam Tilston, Katie Seath and Maisie Robinson on reaching your 10 run milestones.

As you will see, Chris Smithard ran a blinder and retook the course record he had held for some time. He also became the first runner to go under 16 minutes. Great work Chris!
In the meantime, we would like to pull out a few names for recognition - purely at random...
Sioned Pugh - new PB, bravo!
Jonathan Pagan - new PB and so close to sub 20, stick with it!
Joanne Gannon - just 7 seconds off your PB and 9 off the magic sub 40, it will happen eventually!
Phil Smithard - fantastic age-graded score for your category, you are ageless!
We hugely appreciate all the support from our parkrunners. We also appreciate our volunteers without whom we simply could not exist. Additionally we appreciate the support of The Little Owl - our sanctuary, our coffee shop, our base and our friends. Thank you very much.
Lastly we appreciate the support of our local clubs and recognise the links we have with other runners and organisation in the Chester and Cheshire area.
