Clumber Park parkrun report 10th October

Rumour has it there was a much younger and better looking run director at Saturday’s parkrun. I may be biased so I’ll let you be the judge of that! Clowne Road Runners hosted the event and Men’s Captain Richard Hind took to the bench for the runners briefing.

Husband and wife organising team Richard and Gemma Hind managed to keep smiling though I think a few cross words may have been passed during the mornings proceedings.

An army of volunteers and pacers from Clowne Road Runners though word must have got round about Gareth Lowe pacing and frightened off the competition as he still managed to finish first even whilst restraining his time to 17:29.

A successful morning all round with over 50 new PB’s and ALL finish tokens were returned, I think we will be invited back!

In all seriousness organising parkrun is not easy and ensuring everything is ready for a smooth event and runners to enjoy themselves needs volunteers like you. You may even get a warm fuzzy feeling inside, so go on get your names down. If our club kiddies can do it so can you!

Thanks for having us and hope to see you again.
