parkrun 264 1st September

For the first day of the meteorological autumn it was a lovely summers day at Clumber parkrun and great running weather.

To say we "like" cake at Clumber parkrun is more than a but of an understatement. We "love" cake!!!

This week Euan celebrated his 100th parkrun by not only organising a fantastic cake created by Jo Summers but...

Euan also provided a spot prize for the 100th finisher in today's run. Congratulations to Steve NICHOLSON who gathered that prize, I hope Steve bought a lottery ticket after the run.

Euan has now set the bar high for anyone else joining the parkrun clubs.

First finisher this week was Worksop Harrier Jake WILSON who tried to avoid the paparazzi by running in his civvies, but he didn't escape this photographer! We are now waiting for OK magazine to return our email.

Today's Run Director was Emily who has now completed her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award.

We've had quite a few Duke of Edinburgh volunteers over the last year and what has surprised me is that even when they have finished there required number of weeks, our young volunteers keep coming back.

If you haven't volunteered before, maybe it's time to find out what you're missing?
