With no sign of the rain which was forecast, 22 lovely Volunteers and 363 eager runners came to Clumber parkrun for our 309th parkrun.
In fact there was a rumour that the sun was shining on the righteous!!
With the volunteers briefing over, everyone made their way to their allocated roles.
Amongst the volunteers this morning were 4 members of the Taylor Family including Mum Bobbi who gained her 25th volunteer T-shirt today.
In the Runners' briefing a mention was made of the rain on Friday and overnight and the difference between winter and summer puddles – today’s were warm water puddles!
Briefing over, now for the serious part!
First runner home was Marlon Dunkley from Rushcliff AC on his annual outing to Clumber!
Talking of outings, we were paid a visit from a group from Doncaster AC – good to see you all folks!
Now the sad news! Unfortunately 3 tokens have gone missing today. If you have taken tokens 101, 171 and 277 can we please have them back we need them next week?
Whilst we are on the subject of next week, I can remind you than next Sunday is the Trust 10K birthday run in Clumber Park, which can only mean one thing.....
…. another of Jo's scrumptious cakes
