Event number 41
20th July 2019
This week 313 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 61 were first timers and 45 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 26 different clubs took part.
First timers were everywhere! 21 first parkruns run here this week, 61 Coldham’s Common first timers, 12 of them under 18! There were 2 people running their 50th parkrun, 1 their 300th wow! We had runners from Reading, Devon, Newcastle, Portsmouth and even Canada! We had Huntingdon Road surgery take part as well. As you probably know from our title Scouts tookover, they took almost all the roles including: first timers briefing, all the marshalling and shadowing the run director. The Scouts were very happy and say thanks to the parkrun team for being so welcoming. Scouts also ran a cake sale for Jimmy’s night shelter and they raised £85.55.
