British Summer Time officially began overnight on Saturday, but always ahead of the curve, parkrun summer time seemed to kick off at 9am(ish)! The weather was absolutely glorious and the park was at its finest. The grass was freshly cut, the birds were singing, the ducks were quacking, the bees were buzzing and the dogs were definitely barking! (Serious bit - to ensure everyone can hear the pre-run brief please do move away from the crowd during the brief if your four legged companion is feeling a bit chatty!)

The fine weather was enjoyed by 309 parkrunners, 39 of whom were first time visitors to Colwick including tourists from Belton Park, Wakefield and South Africa!
An impressive 55 people took full advantage of Colwick Park at its most welcoming by smashing out PB’s.
Ele Bennett celebrated a 50 milestone, and Phillip Hall brought balloons and cake along to celebrate hitting his 50th last week!
