Event 13 – The Run Report

Well, the dust has settled on another parkrun day. Event number 13 turned out not to be unlucky after all (except for one of our finish tokens, but more about that later...). The rain held off, and the sun could even be seen poking its head around the clouds on occasion. Our trusty team of volunteers all jumped into action, and 114 parkrunners “enjoyed” the delights (?!) of Conyngham Hall parkrun.

We had a few milestones this week, including both Andy Bell and Martin Gabriel reaching their 50 parkruns! And Dan Dooley visited us from afar to make it a total of 50 different parkrun events that he’s done. Thanks to Dan, all the volunteers also had a few nibbles to eat afterwards too - cheers Dan, you can come again!

As our focus now shifts to the rest of the weekends activities, our hearts go out to poor little barcode finishing token number 47. Poor little chap has lost his way, and seems to have gone on a little break away from the rest of the token pack. If anyone sees him please feel free to send him back to the rest of his family next Saturday morning. We're sure he's having a great little adventure out there, but it would be nice to have him back so he can do his duty between numbers 46 and 48 next week!

And finally, a little volunteer call out request. We're always looking for volunteers to join the crew each week. It's good fun, easy and a great way to start the weekend, so please do keep your eye on the future roster page of the website and drop us an email to let us know if you can help.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and look forward to doing it all again next Saturday!
