The weather was mild and the ground slightly drier than recent weeks as 153 parkrunners joined us on Saturday and helped celebrate milestones aplenty: Rod Wilson completed his 50th parkrun, Shane Corcoran joined the Cowell club by making Conyngham Hall the 100th different parkrun he had completed and Mark Taylor (Co ED) completed his 100th parkrun. (Amanda Schofield also achieved her 100th parkrun, we’ll give you a shout out next week Amanda!) The conditions lead to a fair few PBs and the celebrations meant we got to eat cake afterwards which is always a nice treat.
Briefing done, we headed to the start, where checking of watches and positioning for PBs took place, and then 3..2..1.. parkrun! Great marshalling and encouraging from our fantastic marshals around the course as always.
Just before 10, the tail walker was in and we were packing up heading for the cafe
, where we were joined by two miscreants who had run at Wetherby before heading back to be with their nearest and dearest (I'm sure the Black Mulberry sausage and egg sandwiches had nothing to do with it).
Results processing didn't go as smoothly as usual this week, due to gremlins hiding in the scanning file, so it took some extra sorting out and a re-publishing of results but we got there. The kit is now packed away, having a snooze in full readiness for doing it all again next Saturday.
And now for the stats
