Run report 18th September 2021

Big Thanks to Jamie Wilson for an excellent run report!

Cotsford Fields parkrun, Saturday 18th September 2021

Conditions were ideal for running this morning as 37 runners, walkers and joggers (plus two dogs…..) began their weekend by completing the Cotsford Fields parkrun, event #102.  12 athletes completed Cotsford Fields today for the first time, including the first finisher, Christian Arnold.

The morning was cool but dry, with a modest 4 new PB’s set, and this accounts for 11% of the total field, or 17% of those capable of achieving a PB (when the 12 first timers and 1 unknown runners are taken out of the equation.)  Remember guys, don’t forget your barcode…. 10 different Running Clubs were represented today.

As we know, parkun is only made possible by the efforts and dedication of the core team and volunteers, so thank you on behalf of all of those who ran today to the following hi-viz heroes:

Rob WISHART • Laura JACKSON • Alison SMITH • Kerry BARNETT • Isla WILKIE • Struan JACKSON • Malgorzata NAPIERALA • Andrew CAREY • Stephen BUTTERFIELD

Congratulations to this weeks only milestone achiever,  Anna Carlisle (JW11-14) who completed her 10th parkrun this morning and qualifiers for her White Tee Shirt. Well done Anna!

Today’s first male finisher was Christian Arnold who completed the course in a super speedy 19:10 on his first visit to the course.  The first female finisher today was Clare Higgins from Durham City Harriers AC whose finishing time of 21:57 was a course PB - well done Clare!
