Event number 120; 15th July 2017

50 + 50 = 100

We always love seeing all the regular runners and most of all when they achieve one of their big milestones. This week was the turn of Andy Dixon who ran his 100th parkrun. Andy brought some celebratory cupcakes (always a bonus when we are doing results!) and a lovely thank you card which he has kindly allowed us to share some of this with you. "Just over 2 years ago I ran my first parkrun in Ormskirk, to be honest I didn't enjoy it and decided to give up! Five weeks later I decided to give it another go at Crocky. It was a totally different experience, I loved it and never looked back!!  Since then I've pretty much been an ever present and this is down to you all,, your encouragement and smiles have made 9:00am on Saturday just part of our family week with Erin & Sean completing their 50ths and with me hitting 100 this week. Thanks to the best parkrun in the world. Andy"

We think its the best parkrun in the world too and  its always great to welcome tourists from other parkruns,  and this week we had visitors from Pennington Flash, Newcastle, and Margaret Roberts who brought a whole family of 5 plus their Grandma for cheering support from Aberdeen. IMG_5420

They were part of the 253 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 25 were first timers and 38 recorded new Personal Bests and they were supported and cheered on by our 16 volunteers:
Jennie Platt, Carol Platt, Robyn English, Claire Cope, Fraser Slater Clark, June Case, Lesley Neary, Elaine Carden, Julie Dinwoodie, Ellie-Jay Smith, Ciara Grady, Phil Lloyd, Paula Heaton, Leanne Court, Bethany Wright & Sheryl Claeys.
