Firstly, a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to Central Park this evening - the runners, the volunteers, and those from Dartford Harriers who lent us their facilities and support.
The good news outweighed the worries and snags! 57 runners tried the course, and they were no significant issues. The course proved to be challenging, interesting, and showed off the best that Central Park has to offer - the bandstand, the trolls bridge, the war memorial, the gardens, the library ... and of course, we're the only parkrun in the country to have Sir Mick Jagger as a permanent marshal!
There were of course, some snags to iron out - there's an issue with the stopwatch software that I need to follow up, but it's nothing that can't be fixed, I'm sure.
