Delamere parkrun #350, 22nd February 2020

Delamere parkrun number 350!
It was looking like it could be another wet one, with the early rain, but it stayed dry and was relatively sheltered on the run and we even had a bit of sun.
Not many signs of the impending Spring in the woods, apart from the small, but magnificent, blossom tree by the bench after about 1.5km.

There were 335 runners this week with a couple of notable milestones :
Lyn Craig completed her 100th parkrun and Eva Jha (junior) finished her 10th run. Congratulations to both of you.

Benjamin Goodfellow was first home in a time of 17:09 and first lady back was Claire Louise Spencer in 21:21 – both first timers at Delamere.

The first junior back was Edward Rayner in a time of 20:00 with Phoebe Bowen (first junior female) finishing in a time of 21:59.

Delamere parkrun number 350! ……and just by coincidence the numbers add up………
There were 36 first timers
- take away the 6 people with 250 shirts……………………………30
There were 59 people with 50 shirts
- take away the 56 people getting PB’s ………….…………………3
There were 48 people with 100 shirts
- take away the 13 with 10 shirts ………...………………………….35

30 divided by 3 (10) multiplied by 35 gets us to run number 350!

A special thank you as always to our wonderful volunteers.

See you next week!

Ann Collier
