Twenty-three runners braved the frosty conditions at event number seventeen at Dukeries junior parkrun this morning. What a beautiful morning it was!
The cold did not deter our hi-viz heroes, including Woody, who kept warm by doing a wonderful frost mural on the ground (can you guess what it is yet??):
As the sun came out our first runner Euan Carroll crossed the line at 09.05. The first female was Dukeries regular, Charlotte Alcock, with a time of 09.49. Charlotte also led the warm-up with her brother Robert.
Two runners received their half marathon wrist bands; Joshua Pinnington and Alicia Starovla.
A big well done to all of our 23 runners, you were all amazing.
A massive thank you to all our volunteers for turning out this morning, without you this event could not go ahead. If anybody would like to have a go at volunteering just drop us an e-mail and we'll put you on the roster. If you're bringing your children, its easy to add another five minutes to each side of your attendance, pop on a high viz and stand on one of our marshal points, clapping and encouraging
Dukeries junior parkrun takes place every Sunday at 9.00 am.
