All was not looking good for Durham parkrun event 388 on Friday the 30th, and it was looking like being freedom runs all round until a group of hardy volunteers stepped forward to fill our remaining roles and help us go ahead as planned.
With visitors from near and far enjoying the views of our stunning city we had to ensure we put on a show and that we did.
This week 361 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 48 were first timers and 46 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 31 different clubs took part.

The female record is held by Jennifer WALSH who recorded a time of 16:31 on 26th May 2012 (event number 42).
The Age Grade course record is held by Val NAYLOR who recorded 97.65% (24:50) on 16th June 2018 (event number 329).
Durham parkrun started on 13th August 2011. Since then 13,759 participants have completed 111,370 parkruns covering a total distance of 556,850 km, including 19,140 new Personal Bests. A total of 1,157 individuals have volunteered 9,525 times
