Well done to everyone who ran today and sacrificed watching the Rugby World Cup (some of you lucky runners may have managed to do both!) There was a better turnout of runners than I had expected. Thankfully yesterday’s rain had stopped and it was nice weather- dry and mild. However, it was very muddy and wet underfoot. I nearly slipped over a couple of times!
Like always, the atmosphere was friendly and cheerful. I joined the Durham Parkrun community in October 2018 when I started university. It is one of my favourite Parkrun courses- its nice, flat and scenic (particularly by the river) but the dreaded grass…

This week 316 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 29 were first timers and 33 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 37 different clubs took part.
