Well, we all beat Storm Dennis to the finish - just as well since parts of the river have come over the banks since then! The rain mostly held off while people were on the course, with a few spots just starting at the end but we still had to deal with the aftermath of the previous week's floods by running an alternative course. A big thank you goes out, as always, to all the volunteers who stepped up to help make sure we could go ahead safely. This included several course inspections and some creative re-routing but it all came off.
Please keep an eye on social media over the coming week as we continue to assess the impact the storms have had on our course and we keep a close watch on the weather forecast.
Enjoy your week and see you next Saturday (we hope)!
