The weather was certainly more autumnal this morning, but we were lucky enough for the rain to hold off until we had packed up. Several runners commented on how it was preferable to run in the cooler conditions, I know I prefer it to the heat of summer.
It was great to be back in the role of RD for the first time since we returned after the break, seeing so many happy and familiar faces.
This week 111 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 10 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 14 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 10 volunteers, without whom we couldn’t have parkrun. If you fancy trying your hand at any of the roles, either speak to the RD next time you come along, or drop us an email. You’ll always be made very welcome. Today’s winning team were:
James MORTIMER • Jackie GARDEN • Andy CRUICKSHANK • Susan SOMNER • Sean SWINDELLS • Andrew SAMWAYS • Stuart CHRISTIE • Ben BROOKES • Mike RODGERS • Elaine RODGERS
Thanks to everyone who took part, runners and volunteers. And not forgetting the canine runners too!
Stuart, today’s Run Director
