Last Saturday was another lovely day for a stroll around Gedling country park. But when is it not?
I must say we all thought we'd get a little higher turnout than the 105 runner who came along but I guess a number of people were on their holidays.
Thanks to the volunteers pictured below:
We had Ben and Katie barcode scanning (Ben also very kindly did the first timers' briefing and processed the results while his breakfast got cold); Karl, Cheryl and Ian were fantastic marshals; Sarah, Kelly and Daisy tail running; Helen, Evie and Henry managing the funnel and Matt and Sarah timekeeping.
Apologies to Martin Copeland who ran his 50th run and I didn't give it the appropriate fanfare. Also of note was David Greenwell running his 150th run and celebrating it with a pb. Here he is below along with regular runner Mark Hornsey. Unfortunately dave, you dont get a new t-shirt for 150 runs but well improvised.
Indeed 19 of us got pbs including Rhodri Price below who is another regular runner and volunteer:
Well that's about it from me as I have some beer that needs to be drunk and some jaffa cakes that need to be eaten. Until next week (or two days to be more accurate)...
