Gibside parkrun Event number 165 30th September 2017

This week 80 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 17 were first timers and 20 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 15 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 12 volunteers courtesy of the fantastically friendly Derwent Valley Running Club (DVRC):

Male placings:
Peter BRAY (SM20-24) of Manchester and District Orienteering Club, was first over the line in 18:19 - first appearance.
Nathan HOWE (JM15-17) (Unattached) was second over the line in 20:38.
Joe HILLIER (VM40-44) (Unattached) was third over the line in 21:04.
Female placings:
Dawn CRANSTON (VW35-39) of Tyne Bridge Harriers, was first (6th overall) over the line in 22:24 - first time in 2 appearances.
Heather CROWE (SW20-24) (Unattached) was second (16th overall) over the line in 24:56 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.
Bethany DUFFY (SW18-19) of DH Runners, was third (20th overall) over the line in 25:45.
The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Jan OLIVER (VW60-64) – 72.10% for the time 27:18 (32nd overall).
Peter BRAY (SM20-24) – 70.43% for the time 18:19 (first overall).
Dawn CRANSTON (VW35-39) – 66.74% for the time 22:24 (6th overall).
The male record is held by Daniel JENKIN who recorded a time of 16:44 on 3rd May 2014 (event number 11).
The female record is held by Lauren DAVIES-BECKETT who recorded a time of 19:25 on 2nd August 2014 (event number 23).
The Age Grade course record is held by Erin KEELER - CLARKE who recorded 83.72% (19:52) on 13th August 2016 (event number 112).
Gibside parkrun started on 22nd February 2014. Since then 3,026 participants have completed 10,435 parkruns covering a total distance of 52,175 km, including 2,116 new Personal Bests.
