Event #141 (4th Feb 2017)

Hello again everyone! Well there it is, my two weeks as RD over again in the blinking of an eye - yet once again it reaffirms my belief that runners are just about the best types of people.

We had 201 of you wonderful specimens tearing around the course on Saturday, with Steven Read the first male over the line in a good time of 18:33 - he made it look so effortless as well - while first female was Rose Sheppard who is in the JW11-14 age category and a member of Braintree & District Athletics Club. Well done both.

Another well done goes out to David Everard who ran his 50th parkrun - don't forget to log on to the parkrun website and see if you can get your 50 shirt.

As ever I am very grateful to the volunteers who made this event happen:Samantha BEARMAN, Malcolm BONIFACE, Nina CRABB, Michael ELDRED, Ryan EVERITT, Richard HARRIS, Jennifer HILL, Chris HOPKINSON, Charlotte KING, Ian LENNARD, Charlotte MAY, Martha MAY, Heydon MIZON, Lotte NICKEL, Anthony PERKINS, Sara PUMMERY, Erin ROBERTS, Richard SANDFORD, Ashwin SHAH, Louise SMITH, Emma STIRLAND, John STONEMAN, Elizabeth SURREY, Mark TAYLOR, Susan TAYLOR and Agnes WATSON.

It all ran smoothly as usual despite the weather which became a little bit wetter than expected. Still we welcomed 15 first timers and 36 of you achieved a PB.

The full set of results can be accessed here.
