Gunnersbury parkrun event number 422, saw a record breaking run of 766 runners, despite the freezing temperatures.
Today’s volunteer roles were largely filled by GoodGym runners from all across London. Today they were busy doing good deeds all across Ealing throughout the day and kicked things off by assisting with many of the roles to help support today’s event.
A couple of milestones happened today including GoodGym pacer Michael CLAYTON who clocked his 100th parkrun and Francisco VENTURA who completed his 250th. Well done both!
Some notable PBs include Tom IRVING who came 3rd overall with 17:46 and broke his 4 and a half year old previous best Gunnersbury time by 9 seconds. Duncan WARD, in second place overall, also got a Gunnersbury PB and was just 2 seconds shy of an overall parkrun PB with 17:26.
Another PB mention goes to Lorraine HILL who, after more than 150 runs at Gunnersbury, smashed her previous PB and came in at 22:21.
The eagle eyed among you may have also celeb spotted presenter Ben SHEPHARD out on the course today, his second visit to Gunnersbury and a course PB.
