Gunnersbury parkrun, Event number 404: 14th September 2019

This Saturday we are back to our usual two-lap route, however, there will be something else that is different...

Our friends at Vitality are encouraging the whole of the UK to get 20% more active this weekend!

To help the nation move more, Vitality will be joining us at Gunnersbury parkrun this Saturday 14 September.

Once everyone has completed the usual 5k, you will have the option to join us as we line up again and you can choose to walk, jog or run an extra 1k.

There will be special guests and those who complete the extra 1k can expect a small reward...

You can share your efforts from the day on social media using #Move20More.

CHANGE OF ROUTE (again!): 31st August & 7th September

CHANGE OF ROUTE (again!)
Due to the upcoming Gunnersville festival, we will use the out and back course on Saturdays 31st August & 7th September. The meeting point is at the top of the park, near the car park.

Temporary course on 6th and 13th July 2019

Lovebox and Citadel festivals are coming to Gunnersbury park and therefore the parkrun will be using a different route on 6th and 13th July.
The start and finish will be on the grass near to the main entrance leading to the car park.
If you are joining us on those dates, please allow yourselves enough time to find us. Please note the pedestrian entrance off of Popes Lane opposite Elderberry Road is still closed.

The alternative route will be similar to the 'winter route' previously used for many years however, there will be an out-and-back section where you may meet others coming in the opposite direction. Please take care.

You may also want to consider a bit of parkrun tourism such as:
On the 6th July our neighbours Osterley parkrun are celebrating their 300th event using a special one lap route, taking in the gardens of the National Trust. There will be cake...

Course change from Saturday 7th November 2015

From Saturday 7th November, we will change the course at Gunnersbury to the 'winter route'. Please familiarise yourselves with the new start/finish point. The start may appear more narrow but there is no need to sharpen your elbows as there is plenty room to the left of the tarmac on the grass.
