Event 62 – 20 August 2011

 Race report 20 August 2011

Event number 60

Considering the monsoon-like conditions this afternoon, we were presented with a very fine morning for our 62nd parkrun at Hackney Marshes. This week there were 49 runners, of whom 12 were first timers and 12 recorded new Personal Bests.

Congratulations to Oliver O'Brien of South London Orienteers, who became the second runner to join the 50 club, the first being Yucel Erkan, who achieved this two weeks ago. 50 Club T Shirts should be on their way very soon and will be presented to Ollie and Yucel at a future event.

Thanks as always to our volunteers, including Colin Thomas and special thanks to Francine Bennett who stepped in at the last minute to take the lead on timing, and to Simeon Bennett who collected all the markers after the event.
