Hampstead Heath parkrun, Event number 430, 17th August 2019

The sun came out to light up a soggy Hampstead Heath on Saturday and the parkrun spirit was shining brightly. Among the 364 people who ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 87 were first timers and 36 recorded new Personal Bests, we had I think our first wheel chair user, Claudia Burrough. Her new course record on her HHpr debut but 90th parkrun shows how tough our course is since it is almost double her times on a flat course. Claudia, pictured below, is based at Bushy Park and has done 21 different parkruns. She is rather inspirational and you can read her twitter feed and blog, where you can see the challenges she has to overcome, here https://twitter.com/claudiaburrough and http://www.seetheable.co.uk/blog
