The weather forecast for this morning was not promising, with the temperature predicted to be close to freezing. That turned out to be true, and with the added hazard of fog we wondered how many people would have bothered to get out of bed. However, we were surprised to have one of our largest turnouts of 274 runners, and the sun had even started to come out before we had finished.

Our first finisher this week was Harry Turner, and the first lady was Harrow first-timer Harriet Williamson.

We had a number of tourists, with visitors from Yorkshire, Essex, Birmingham and Horsham, and we hope that you enjoyed your run at Harrow.

Well done to the 47 runners who achieved a pb, welcome to the 37 first-timers who we hope will become regular parkrunners.

Today we said goodbye and a big thank-you to Clive Gee who has been a regular volunteer, run director and runner at Harrow parkrun since it started.  He is moving to Edinburgh to start a new career and we wish him all the best.  He tells us that there is a parkrun five minutes from his new house so I am sure that he will be a regular participant there as well.

Harrow parkrun started on 9th May 2015. Since then 5,322 participants have completed 38,225 parkruns covering a total distance of 191,125 km, including 7,463 new Personal Bests. A total of 415 individuals have volunteered 3,230 times.

We have been really lucky with the Saturday morning weather during this very mixed Summer and today was no exception.  Perfect running weather, not too warm and with a pleasant gentle breeze. This produced 35 pbs from a large turnout of 231 participants.

There were only a few visitors, from Long Eaton in Nottingham, and Leeds, and I hope you enjoyed your run at Harrow.

We also welcomed 23 first timers hope you had a good enough time to return next week.

Harrow parkrun started on 9th May 2015. Since then 5,019 participants have completed 35,855 parkruns covering a total distance of 179,275 km, including 7,046 new Personal Bests. A total of 395 individuals have volunteered 3,054 times.

Well, what a contrast to the glorious weather we had last week. This morning was cold, wet and windy, which evidently put some people off as numbers were well down from previous weeks.  However, the rain had stopped before the start and conditions were actually good for running once we got going, as demonstrated by the 29 PBs achieved.

We had visitors from Ashford, Greenwich, Derby and Hemel Hempstead and several people said how much they enjoyed the course and friendly atmosphere at Harrow.

Well done to our first finishers this week, Kevin Mackin for the men in a new pb, and Kayla Saunders for the ladies, with Olivia Matharu not far behind her in the battle of the 11-14 year-olds.

We had a few anniversaries this week: David Harrington and Nicholas Marchant on their 50th runs, and Neil Court on his 200th.

A special mention also to our chief marshal Joe Turner for his 200th volunteering role, he has scarcely missed a week since Harrow Parkrun began.

Welcome to the run report for the 210th Harrow parkrun. Another perfect morning for running was reflected in the 51 PBs achieved amongst our 230 runners, a very high proportion.

The first finisher was Harry Turner in 18:28 followed by Anthony Lewis in 18:51. The first lady was Jo Brookes in a new pb off 23:00 followed by Shilpa Narayan in 23:20 which was also a pb.

We welcomed a number of visitors from places as diverse a Yorkshire, Belfast and Kenya. Apologies if I missed some others!

Quite a few runners also took part in the Hatch End Triathlon last week so well done to all of you and I hope you enjoyed the experience.

One of our regular runners, Mehul Patel, raised £250 for the St. Lukes Hospice last week running in a 10K race at Sudbury so very well done for both running and fund raising.

To end on a serious matter, it was reported to us today that there had been a break-in at the pavilion last week, and some money was stolen. We were asked to encourage anyone who lives close to the park to report anything suspicious that they see or hear in the park at any time.

After a very cold week with some very icy mornings, the weather was kinder for us today so we had great conditions for our parkrun. There was another good turnout of 231 runners, with visitors from Northampton and Perth (in Australia!).  There were three milestones this week, with Daniel Singham, Hemini Parmar and Worrell Cork all completing their 50th run.  Hemini narrowly missed out on a pb on her 50th, but 41 people did achieve a pb, which is a very high proportion of the total number of runners.

Our first finisher was Sam Adcock in a new pb of 17:07, and the first lady home was Rache Porter in 21:41.

Hi all, just a quick post to confirm that Harrow parkrun will hold an extra parkrun on Tuesday 1st January to celebrate the New Year.

The event will commence at 10.30 which gives you a possibility of running at Canons Park parkrun and if finishing soon enough then making your way across the Borough to Harrow Rec for the 10.30 start.

Welcome to the 180th Harrow Parkrun Report. It was a chilly but very bright morning in the park, perfect conditions for running once you were warmed up.
Another really good attendance today, with 212 runners completing the course, of whom 21 were first timers and 49 recorded new Personal Bests.
First runner home was 14 year old Christopher Hudson in a very fast time of 17.23, giving him an age-graded percentage of over 83%.  He was closely followed by Kevin Fini in 17.27 and Janusz Raczka in 17.42.  The first lady home was rache Porter in 21.01 followed by Naomi Alston in a new pb of 21.10 and Gillian Fox, also with a pb of 21.39 and a percentage of over 81%.
We had two long distance tourists, from Brisbane and New Zealand, as well as closer ones from Hemel Hempstead.
Congratulations to Troy Collins on his 50th run and Jodi Marshall on her 100th, which was also a pb for her.  Also to Joan Foxley who completed her 100th parkrun at Harrow, whilst doubling up as Tail Walker.

Thanks also to almost everyone for remembering to bring your barcodes with you this week.  Please continue to do this as it makes our life much easier!
