Event number 108 – 8th April 2017

I think mother nature just wanted to add a little drama to the mornings events as we dusted of the cobwebs and unwrapped the summer course, by cloaking it in a little mist and fog as we unveiled our favourite one lap route through the forest.

Some of the core team walked the course on Wednesday evening and we knew it was looking good but we still needed to also dust off some of the signs that have not been used over the winter months and change the volunteer paperwork and lanyards ready for the off. On top of what goes on behind the scenes and in preparation, an amazing 44 people volunteered this Saturday to make the event happen. Apart from the brand-new P.A. system packing up, hence me having to shout (thanks for listening and for your attention) everything went smoothly and the sun, albeit towards the end, did make an appearance through the mist to welcome us back on the Summer route.
