What a week!!
After storm Arwan battered the country on Friday night leaving thousands of homes without power, we woke up to a glorious, winters morning on Saturday at Hay Lodge. Myself and Archie arrived at the park early for the course inspection and expected to see significant storm damage but with the exception of a lot of leaves, a few small branches and a couple of icy puddles the course was in great condition.
Amazingly we still managed to attract 4 new comers to Hay Lodge amongst the 54 strong field and 10 of you even recorded personal bests. Congratulations to all of you who took part.
It was certainly a chilly one for volunteering this week (don't let the blue skies fool you)! So an extra big thank you needs to go the 12 volunteers who made the event possible. This week we had...
Ian NIMMO • Archie CAMERON • Neil CHRISTIE • Donald GRIGOR • Peter CADDICK • Lynne POPLEY • Tim WARNER • Andrew FISH • Karen MURRAY • Wilson LEE • Steven MURRAY • Donald MACLEOD
If anyone would like to volunteer over December we still have a few spaces so please get in touch if you'd like to help out. There's even a Christmas Day addition if you want to get out for some fresh air before tucking into your Christmas dinner!!
Anyway, I hope you are all safe and warm after last weekend's storms and we look forward to seeing you again soon at Hay Lodge parkrun. Here are the stats.
