17th October 2020
Thanks to our Run Director this week, BBC Radio Shropshire’s Ryan Kennedy. As well as the 20th virtual parkrun, this week would have been the second anniversary of the real Henley Wood parkrun, Oswestry. It’s been a sad second year with floods and bad weather causing the cancellation of several events during the winter and then, of course, the coronavirus shutting down everything just as the weather was improving! It’s been great to have so many people joining in the virtual parkrun and we will continue to look forward to the re-starting of real parkrun whenever that may be.
Welcome to Chloe Edwards, Ann Norwood, Matthew Craddock and Ray Pickett who joined in in for the first time this week and Cheryl Ann Morris, first timer and also top lady in the results table.
Congratulations to Richard Thornton, Simon Davies, Denise Hufton, Chris Norwood, Denise Polhill, Jamie Ashworth and Poppy Ashworth who all achieved Henley Wood VIRTUAL parkrun personal best times. Some cracking times achieved.
Well done to Ian Gibson who tops the results table this week and thank you to Sarah Grimley for being our tailwalker this week with a colourful autumnal route around Chirk Castle.
Thanks everyone and see you next week.
