This week storm Arwen gave us a blast of very chilly weather as 86 people ran, jogged and walked the course to try their best to warm up, of whom 13 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 18 different clubs took part including Axe Valley Runners and UK Mudd Queens.
Congratulations to juior runner Penelope WILSON on joining the 10 club today with a new PB, and junior Joseph SANDRI DURBAN and veteran Graham BOOTH on reaching 50 runs today.
The event was made possible by 21 lovely volunteers led by this weeks Run Director Ellen PARRY.:
Duncan HAUGHEY • Paul KILLICK • Alastair BENBOW • Kate HICKEN • Max NICKLESS • Charlotte DARGUE • Jason TUTTY • Kathryn WINFIELD • Steve DYE • Jo GRAHAM • Mervyn ROBINS • Dee HARPER • Ben WINFIELD • Lisa MCLAREN • Ian HARPER • Kathy MILLER • Emma WILSON • Ellen PARRY • Clare TUTT • Jennifer HOLMES • Cynthia BOARDMAN
Well done to Lucia TREGELLIS of Woking AC, first female on 23:43, also Marcin SMOLAK first male on 20:21, everyone who made it round today and all the volunteers deserve medals for braving the chill today, well done and thanks.
There were a few people who didn't have their barcodes today, don't forget yours else you won't get a run credit, note you can add the barcode to your phone now as a backup just in case, although parkrun still prefer a physical one.
Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Homewood parkrun Results Page.
It's our 200th run next week!
See you all again soon,
