Thank you to Cass Castleton for the Hove Prom 200th pens that he bought for us to celebrate the occasion.  We have a handful left for those of you who didn't get one - just ask at our anniversary on 13th July.

James's fantastic photos from Saturday can be found on our Facebook page via this link.

Very important reminder that we are cancelled next week (6th July) due to Paddle Round the Pier taking place on Hove Prom and Hove Lawns.  This is a free (donation entry) event with huge amount of great stuff taking place - from live music and food to kids events and water activities and events taking place all weekend.

We'll be back at the prom on 13th July when we'll be celebrating our 4th birthday with a few surprises up our sleeve!  FOUR YEARS!!!!  Time sure flies when you are having fun!!

On a personal note, Saturday marked my very last parkrun as Run Director as I have taken the really difficult decision to step down from the core team.  I am so proud of the community that we have all built up together over the last four years.  It was a very emotional morning for me as I have absolutely loved my time at the prom.  I will continue to be a regular down there but it is now time for me to spend less time sitting at a computer sorting stuff out behind the scenes and more time actually running myself and swimming after parkrun with the Salty Seabirds.  It has been a pleasure and a privilege to get to know so many of you over the last four years and I am particularly grateful to Georgia, Mark and the remainder of the core team and also to Richard, Olly, Perry, JC and the rest of the team at Hove Lawns Cafe.

In the meantime, look after each other, volunteer regularly and encourage friends and family to come to walk, jog, run, volunteer and generally join in the fun.  It has been Olympic!!  You're all wonderful!!

Signing out for the very last time, with much love

Clare xxxx
