Killerton parkrun milestone.
To those parkrunners keen on statistics, it will not have gone unnoticed that we are fast approaching the completion of our 100,000 th parkrun since our launch back in 2011. There have been 99,933 parkruns completed so we will be looking to see who finishes in 67th place next Saturday. I feel a photo might be neeeded!
Joint National Trust Ranger/ parkrun working party.
I will be looking for names of those who might be able to help with this working party. It is designed to give back a little to the estate we love to run through and to the Rangers who support our event every Saturday. Do please help if you can. Date for your diaries:
Saturday 19th October.
Next Saturday 28th September our parkrun will be taken over by Women on the Run. We thank all the ladies who have offered to help with this take over. They will be coordinated by our own Co ED , Di Hollidge. There might be a few surprises afoot!
First Timers and Tourist map/banner.
Whilst doing a spot of parkrun tourism this Saturday, I attended a FTB meeting at which was displayed a hand drawn map/banner of the course. It showed various highlights of the course as well as marshal points and obstacles to watch out for. I was thinking this might be something we could do at Killerton. So are there any budding artists within our community who might want to help with this project? If so please get in touch with me via our email...firstname.lastname@example.org or see me next Saturday.
Well done to the following parkrunners.
