Our run report this week has been produced by one of our regular volunteers Alex Ingham. Thank you Alex.
239 parkrunners came together at Killerton parkrun this morning, for our 455th event. Our numbers were average for this time of year, and it was great to see a large number of first times. The course was not quite as muddy as normal, which was a relief! However you cannot hide from the mud at Killerton. 32 first timers ventured out onto the course this morning, I would like to thank you all very much for supporting our parkrun and the National Trust, it means a lot to us here at Killerton. 13 of our first timers were completing their first ever parkrun event. We hope to see you return to Killerton parkrun again in the future. Our first timers had travelled from different locations across the UK. We had runners from Bristol and Manchester. The parkrunner that travelled the furthest this morning was from Glasgow. It is great to see lots people from different places trying our very unique parkrun. Well done to you all!
We did see quite a few runners from different running groups this morning, these are just a few of the running groups that our runners are part of, Women on the Run, South West Road Runners, Vegan Runners, Tiverton Harriers and and Heavitree Running Group.
The parkrunner who achieved the highest age-related score this morning was Lucy Hilton with 78.84%, she was also completing her first ever parkrun. Well done to you! The male with the highest age-related grade this morning was David Wilkinson with 75.77%. David WILKINSON has achieved the highest age-related score for his age category many times now, so a very special well done to you!
We had 12 new PBs this morning, a very big well done to all of you. Especially as achieving a PB is difficult with the current course conditions!
Congratulations to Toby Rix for completing your 50th Parkrun. I did notice quite a few parkrunners were only a few weeks off a milestone, it is a fantastic achievement. Keep up the hard work!
