Event #5

A lovely sunny morning at lakes juniors saw 20 runners make their way around the in some places muddy course, this didn't seem to bother one little commando who just made good use of the bog slime as a natural camouflage!!! And if it wasn't for her massive smile my timekeepers might not have even noticed her cross the finish line.

We had 10 new PB's and 4 first timers who I hope to see along again soon.

This week our amazing volunteers were

Alison RIDGWAY  •  Andrew CHILCRAFT  •  Andrew RIDGWAY  •  Anne BIRCHAM  •  David Anthony LEWIS  •  Fiona CLARKSON  •  Jane HAMMONDS  •  Linda GRACE  •  Martin STORER  •  Matthew DICKS  •  Neve STORER  •  Paul HEPWORTH  •  Stacey STORER  •  Steve DICKS  •  Viv TOLE

The volunteers really are the life blood of this event, we need the roles to be covered so that the run can safely go ahead for the children so a massive thank you to all of you.

Event #2

Lakes junior parkrun #2

It was a beautiful sunny morning which welcomed 29 runners to Lakes junior parkrun this week. There were 29 Junior parkrunners, which is 6 more than last week. 15 of them were first timers, and 10 had never done a junior parkrun before. There were also quite a few who have come to both runs here, which is great. We hope you keep coming and the attendance keeps getting bigger!

A big thanks must go the brilliant volunteers for helpng this event to go ahead: Anne BIRCHAM, Nadia Karolina BOBRYCZ, Tracy CARDNO, Eileen CARPENTER, Fiona CLARKSON, Paul HEPWORTH, David Anthony LEWIS, Bethany MALTBY, Helen MALTBY, Harry MALTBY, Laurie Louise MILLS, Tam QUINN, Catherine SIMONINI, Viv TOLE, Becky WICKHAM

The first girls were Gemma Wickham, Charlie Sellars and Olivia Loiggio. The top three boys were Alex Vout, Aidan Hurlock and Roddy Watt.

This was my second time running here, after a very rainy, cold trial event two weeks ago. Although the couse isn't as fast as some others I've done, it's a fun and friendly run, and there were lots of smiles as everyone was running. It was great to see people running with friends, and making new ones

Hope to see you all next week!
