We had 374 runners and 20 volunteers attend Lancaster's first parkrun. Over 212 were completely new to parkrun. Welcome to the parkrun family and we hope you enjoyed the experience!
We'd like to thank these local organisations who made it possible to bring parkrun to Lancaster: Galbraith Trust, The Lancaster Community Fund, Lancashire county council Local member grants: Councillors Gina Dowding, Chris Henig, Susie Charles and Richard Newman-Thompson, The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund, Lancaster District CVS.

If you fancy volunteering any time just drop us a line at email@example.com. Everything is easy to explain.
Please consider allowing us to email you about volunteering opportunities, please opt-in at https://www.parkrun.com/runner/volunteeroptin/ if you haven't already.
The run brief
With so many runners new to parkrun, part of an even larger group, it is very hard to hear everything said during the run brief - especially if you end up at the back. Unfortunately this meant a few finish tokens didn't make it back to us, and we'd be very grateful if they are returned. Drop us a message, or see one of the volunteers next week.
Please also consider reading The parkrun code for 5k events. While we do mention some of these in the run brief, it helps if you have a look.
