Possible cancellation – Saturday, 15 February 2020

Just a heads up for Saturday - the weather is looking awful (again!) 52mph winds and 87% chance of rain - great!

I'll make a definite decision on Friday as to whether to go ahead or not. Don't want anyone being blown away!

International Women’s Day – 7 March 2020

#IWDparkrun

Research across the world shows that women are less likely than men to take part in parkrun. In an effort to encourage more women and girls to participate, we are planning this female-focused parkrun which also supports the This Girl Can campaign.
What we’d really like, is for you to ask your female friends and family if they would like to take part in this special event, whether volunteering or running – perhaps you could help facilitate this for them by helping out with childcare that week or unburdening them from other ties that may prevent them from attending. Maybe offer a little encouragement and let them know that parkrun is for running, jogging or walking – it’s not a race, it’s fun!

Ideally we would like everyone to wear purple on that day.

Well done to all of you that ran and walked parkrun today. The weather was almost perfect for running today which helped 36 runners to set new PBs.

A special well done to Michael Rooney for his first time finishing first.

Also to Julie Towers and Geoff Letchford for setting new fastest times in their age categories.P1259077

Land’s End parkrun #7 28/12/2019

Again the weather was kind to us for the last parkrun of the year. With good conditions under foot which allowed both the female and male records to be broken.

We welcomed our biggest attendence so far our lovely locals were joined by tourists from Warrington, Derby, Chelmsford and Guildford to name a few places.

A big well done to Phil Olson on completing his 100th different event.

As always a massive thank you to our amazing volunteers.
