Leamington parkrun #462

The 462nd parkrun was business as usual, it had 46 volunteers. It was a bright and sunny morning, brighter and sunnier than usual. So bright and sunny, that if you were running west, you were also running the risk of having your eyeballs melted. However, this risk didn’t stop people from going to parkrun, causing there to have been 471 people at the run. This, however, was a reasonable amount of people, and so there were no (major) hiccups in the running of the event.

49 new people decided to drag themselves out of bed at an unreasonable hour of the morning for a Saturday. 48 people seemed to have woken up in an athletic mood and somehow managed to outrun their past selves. The entire event was set up, run and un set up by 46 marvellous volunteers.

These people being:

Tessa Lukehurst the grand, Sharon Litterick the magnificent, Malcolm Fry the strong, Harriet Ashworth the glorious, Julia Fry the fabulous, Richard Whitehead the splendid, Mrs Doyle the new Mary Berry, Marti Dhesi the majestic, Caroline Whitehead the awe-inspiring, Trevor Rothwell the amazing, Saty Kandola the breath-taking, John W Smith the stunning, Frazer Knowles the mind-blowing, Stephen Evans the extraordinary, Zac Cale the profound, Pete Thompson the even more fabulous, Ben Hewitt the elegant, Jamie Hanna the superb, Alistair Kirkwood the astounding, Jacob Oxtoby the spectacular, Lewis Oxtoby the fantastic, Helen Braithwaite the ok I guess, Jim Braithwaite the fine, Amy Hartill the unbelievable, Susan Woo the excited noise, Jessica Woo the exited noise 2, Eleanor Nabney the incredible, Morgan Nabney the wonderful, Portia Nabney the phenomenal, Steph Zoka the miraculous, Wilfred Evans the stupendous, Laura Ersek the berserk, Simon Odling the handsome, Mandy Barnett the gorgeous, Chris Davison the brilliant, Lynn Hussain the terrific, Sarah Brooke-Taylor the admirable, Grace O’Malley the astonishing, Josh Braithwaite the very normal, Georgie Acton the dramatic, Megan Barnes the humble, Jill Coates the heart-stirring, Jamie Finnegan the super, Fraser Whyte the monumental, Ayse Crossland the excellent and Terence Fitch the pretty cool.

There were lots of milestones achieved this week with Amelia, Arran, James, Kyle and Sebastian running their 10th parkrun, Christopher CATTO, Edward NASH, Emma Jane BROWN, Grace PINK, Leon PRATT and Stephen DE BRUYNE running their 50th parkrun, Alison Ann GIBBONS running her 100th parkrun and Andrew ROACH running his 250th.  John W SMITH volunteered for his 25th time.

And there were birthdays too!  Jeremy Pope and Katherine Filby ran in our birthday vests this week.
