Limavady Parkrun Cancelled Sat 20th Jan

Good morning everyone. Please note Parkrun is cancelled due to the icy conditions on the course. Hopefully all back to normal next week!

Run Report no. 103

On Saturday 18th March we had yet another successful parkrun with 27 people taking part. In total we had 5 PB's, 3 visitors from other parkruns joining us for the first time, and 1 person running his first ever parkrun (welcome Mark Thorpe).

First across the line was Alex Brennan in what was his second time joining us. Guess what, he was first the other time too
First Lady home was our own Janet Brennan, who just keeps getting better and better.

The big news this week was behind the scenes: Kieran Coyle resigned as event director in order to concentrate on setting up a junior parkrun in L'derry. Kieran was responsible for bringing parkrun to Limavady and for making it the success that it is today. Although he has not been about as much recently, he has continued to work in the background, helping with the admin side of things. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kieran for all of his time and efforts over the last two years, and to wish him all the best with his new endeavours.

As a parting gift, Kieran has obtained a defibrillator for Limavady parkrun. Now, while we hope to never need it, the more people who know how to use it the better. We will be posting a short instructional video clip shortly, please take the time to view it.

So, our new event directors are (drum roll) Lorraine Mullan and Julie Brolly. Our thanks to them both for stepping up (be sure to to bow or curtsy next time you see them
