On a day where so many sporting events were cancelled in the UK, it was great that the weather decided that we would have a relatively warm and calm dry day to run at the Prom.
For me having the run today was a continuation of my journey from running at 19 stone for the first time in 30 years on 13th July 2019. Back then the prospect of running for me was never going to happen. But the constant “nagging” of my Park Run neighbours George Jones and Nick Bacon, persuaded me to come down and “run”. Since then the friends I have made through Park Run and the way I have been accepted (under various names!!) shows that for me the Park Run Community , especially at Littlehampton Prom, is second to none. Yesterday was my 32nd run and coming down every Saturday and meeting up with my Park Run family is the highlight of every week for me. Having lost over 3 stone with the help of Park Run is another added bonus
As always, everyone is made so welcome and the 146 runners of all abilities showed again what Park Run has to offer. Fun, exercise, friendship, community spirit, to name but a few
Jezza/Paul/ whatever you want to call me this week!
The event was made possible by 16 volunteers:
