Event 241 – 25 August 2019

Just a short report this week.

We had:
- beautiful weather - much more fitting than the torrential downpour of the week before;
- 34 runners;
- five first timers;
- everyone happy (!); and
- nothing went wrong...

Can't ask for much more than that, as an RD, so thanks to everyone who ran and especially to everyone who volunteered.

It's interesting to see that, with a few of our regular runners missing, we've got lots of new runners who are still working their way towards their half-marathon wristbands. I look forward to seeing some of those being awarded over the next few weeks (which reminds me, we'd better get some new stock in).

In case people aren't aware, the new council building is now finished and the cafe is finally open.  They open at 9am on a Sunday and it would be great if we can support them.  I'm sure it will be especially handy in the winter.

I can't quite believe that we are approaching the end of the school summer hols.  Enjoy your last week off and we look forward to seeing you next weekend.
