What’s A “Crowd-Sourced Tea Party?” I Hear You Say…

The excitement and butterflies are building in equal measure as we gear up for our first anniversary on Saturday and we thought we'd better update you on the food and drinks situation.

As Brad mentioned on Saturday we are going to be having a crowd-sourced tea party. This is a fancy way of saying we're asking you to get in touch and choose something to bring along from a list we came up with. It promises to be a great morning and we're really looking forward to celebrating with you all!

First a big thank you to everyone who has already put their name down against something.
For those of you who would still like to get involved before Saturday there are still a few things left on the list.
The choices are:

  • 1 x Jar Decaffeinated Coffee
  • 1 x Jar Coffee
  • 1L Bottle of Red Squash
  • 1L Bottle of Orange Squash
  • Cupcakes for 10 people
  • Bag/Tube of Crisps to Share
  • Bunch of White Grapes
  • Bunch of Red Grapes

If you think you can help out then please drop us a line at littlestokehelpers@parkrun.com.
(This is so we can keep track of who's bringing what to try and make sure we don't have too much of one thing and not enough of another!)

Food, Glorious Food!

So you might have heard that our 1st anniversary is coming up on Saturday the 2nd November. One whole year of Little Stoke parkrun, certainly something to celebrate! We've got special guests joining us from parkrun HQ to help unveil a certain statue, points table winners to announce and we thought it would be nice to have a bit of a gathering in the Scout Hut with some food and drink to mark the occasion.

That's where you come in. We've come up with a list and we'd like to invite you to pick something to bring along. It's been described as a crowd-sourced celebration!

Here is what we've come up with:

  • A bunch of bananas
  • A bunch of grapes
  • Flapjack
  • Cupcakes
  • Crisps
  • Bottle of squash
  • Box of teabags
  • Jar of coffee

If you'd like to choose something to bring then please drop us a line on littlestokeoffice@parkrun.com - we need to keep track of what people offer to bring so that  we don't end up with 30 jars of coffee and one banana to divide between everyone.

We look forward to hearing from you and celebrating together on the 2nd November!
