'Following last week’s incident, there will be an extended briefing this Saturday, in front of the Civic Centre (not at the start), beginning at 09:20, so parkrunners should arrive in plenty of time.'
James was unfortunately taken critically ill at parkrun last Saturday.
In spite of the efforts to revive him by CPR and use of the
defribrillator by other runners and volunteers he passed away later that
day at St John's Hospital.. The family have sent the following message:
> "James Walker was a fantastic Husband, Dad and Papa who was always
> there to help others and if anything good can come out of this, we
> know he would love to help a good cause. As such we are raising funds
> to provide Livingston parkrun with a mobile defibrillator."
> Date of funeral - Monday 8th April 2019 at 2pm
> Location - West Lothian Crematorium and after at Bankton House Hotel
> Funds being raised for a mobile defibrillator for Livingston parkrun
> which will be available in addition to the defibrillator held at the
> Civic Centre.

We took the decision to cancel today's run this morning. Although we had managed to grit some of the paths the overnight snow is covering some icy patches making the course unsafe.
The 150th Livingston parkrun on Saturday 17 Nov 2018 will be 'special'
Lothian Running Club will be providing pacers to help you hit your PB.
We encourage Fancy Dress too.
Watch this space for further news.
The first run of March has had to be cancelled due to the copious amount of snow. While we do not like cancelling any run we have to take into consideration the safety of everyone involved, including runners, volunteers and also people travelling to the event.
We hope next week the only snow we will be seeing is all the lovely snowdrops that scatter our splendid route.
