Results processing problem 9th March

The results have now been processed and are online. If you have not got your result email/text and are not listed in the results, but think you should be, please contact lloydoffice@parkrun.com ith your name, parkrun ID, and finish position/time (as available).

New Year’s Day Lloyd parkrun

A reminder that we will be holding a parkrun on New Year's Day at 9am as usual.

Hot spiced apple juice and flapjacks available after the run.

Note this is the only day of the year that you can be officially recorded at TWO parkruns. Roundshaw Downs parkrun is being held at 10am, as are Bromley and Nonsuch. Reigate Priory is at 10.30.

Lloyd parkrun Christmas Day and New Year’s Day runs

In case anyone has started wondering, yes we ARE intending to hold runs on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, as usual, at 9am each day, as usual, and with the usual festive treats on offer!

Lost runners?

Looks like we may have lost a few runners from the results due to a scanner problem. I you think you are one of them please email lloydoffice@parkrun.com with as much information as possible (name, parkrun ID, finish time/position, any runner you remember just before or after you, and what you were wearing (so we can try to find you on the photos). Thanks! Debra

Today’s results – problem sorted

Bit of a results processing problem today. Think it's sorted now. Hope nobody has 'lost' a PB! Please remember to take a finish token - it helps prevent these problems!

Lloyd parkrun still ON – but check Twitter

Conditions in Lloyd Park this evening are okay so we still intend to hold Lloyd parkrun tomorrow (3rd March).

Roads are okay - main routes - BUT the car park is snowy and sections might be icy - coming on foot or by public transport is highly recommended, and if it's not safe for you to drive on the local roads, then please don't - the parkrun will be here next week!

Trail shoes or hiking boots or similar recommended. There are sections of snow ankle-deep between the last slope and the bowling green.

Once again:

Please check @lloydparkrun on Twitter for updates in the morning - if we decide to cancel, we'll announce it.

If we go ahead then everyone needs to be sensible please - no PBs wanted!

NOTE:

  • Do not attempt to drive to the park if the roads are bad
  • Do not come if your footwear is not suitable for running, jogging or walking in snow.
  • Do not come if you do not have sensible clothing for before, during or after the event.
  • Not a sensible day to run with a buggy!
  • Be really, really kind and grateful to the volunteers who will be standing outside in these conditions for 2 hours!
  • If you are a volunteer tomorrow, wrap up warm (and then add another layer, or two). Bring a hot water bottle, hand warmers, thermos flask, etc.

Remember, it isn’t compulsory - you do not have to do parkrun this Saturday - no one will blame you if you decide to tuck yourself under your duvet instead. You can always come and run it next week, for free.

Christmas & New Year Lloyd parkruns

Lloyd parkruns ARE planned for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Usual festive treats will be provided.

Note that we can't hold them without some volunteers - at a minimum we need a Run Director, Timekeeper, Finish Tokens. Barcode scanner and Tail Walker.

Early volunteering offers appreciated!

Christmas & New Year runs

First notice: Lloyd parkrun WILL be holding Christmas Day and New Year's Day runs as usual.

Results – update…

TWO stopwatches glitched and lost all their results yesterday - an unusual occurrence - , as a result of which we have had to recreate about the first half of the times.

I've done my best to re-create using the information on the Number Checker sheet and times that people have sent in from their sports watches. Where I have no data I've given everyone the same time as the next person for whom I DO have a time, as their times can't be later than that.

If you think your time is incorrect and can give us your sports watch time, please email it in together with your full name, parkrun ID and position, and I will see if I can amend the results.

VERY many thanks to Jenny Booth and Richard Corby for all their hard work yesterday on this.

See you next week!

Debra
