This week’s run report is by another guest writer. Thank you Adele, parkrunner, half marathoner, regular volunteer and parent of two super junior volunteers. Take it away Adele!
A chilly but breeze free parkrun this morning. Nice to see the sun put in a brief appearance too.
This mornings gathering felt somewhat more social than others. Lots of chit chat before the off....we seemed to have quite a few tourists and milestones amongst us this morning which is always great to see. Thank you to the tourists from Billericay, Ipswich, Norwich and Berlin amongst others who visited today. We hope you enjoyed yourselves.
Congratulations to Alison Riches (and thank you for the chocolates), Chris Emery, Jake Worley and Thomas Healy who all achieved their 50th parkrun, and to husband and wife team Alan and Deb Cutler in a great feat of co-ordination! Alan achieved his 100th parkrun and Deb her 50th as well as her 25th volunteering stint! Wonderful!
I had the pleasure of running with a parkrun newbie this morning.... we ran whilst chatting about the wonders of parkrun and what makes it so great and inclusive. Happy to say she will definitely be returning next week and is glad to now be a part of parkrun.
Today’s volunteers were awesome as always. We were joined by Maldon’s smallest volunteer this week (yes even smaller than Adele!!!) and runners were blessed with High 5’s from the cute Miss Harlee.
As well as Harlee, thank you:
Aaron GRAVES • Adele BOVINGDON • Alison FLIGHT • Alison HUGHES • Andrew LAGER • Andrew MCGREGOR • David STOKES • Deborah CUTLER • Elaine VAUGHAN • Elliott LYLE • Emma CONWAY • Jake WOODWARD • James SKILLERN • Jessica PHILLIBROWN • Joanne DENNIS • John BUCHANAN • Kaytie LYLE • Michelle LAMARRE • Paul CROSBY • Rebecca RICHARDS • Teresa MITCHELL • Wendy SIMPSON
Well done today to all those walking/jogging or running the parkrun at Maldon Prom.
See you all next week!
Thank you Adele for your run report.
A couple of dates for your diary:
7 December we are collecting for Maldon Food Pantry
14 December Pacer Day
It’s the end of my two week RD stint, so I hand over to Bob, and will see you soon.
