With the second week of Tonbridge parkrun being cancelled due to a waterlogged course, we weren't quite as busy as the previous week (a new record at over 500) but at 460 it still meant all the volunteers were very busy. The wet and windy weather moved away leaving Saturday to be a bright and chilly morning - perfect for running if a little moist under foot.
Lots of great photos this week (thank you Paul Taylor!) starting with mid-pack at the start...
..and then watching as you all headed towards the meadow for the first time...
..this time running past the meadow itself..
..and just out the other side heading towards Diver's corner. Aptly named because - guess what?
..and finally, here's a random view from the finish funnel..
Worth noting that this week we had 76 people visiting us for the first time, of which 31 were doing their first ever parkrun. An incredible 71 of you got a PB. So very well done if that was you!
Lastly, a big shout out to DofE volunteers Liam and Jacob who completed their 13 week stint with us. We wish you well and hope you come back and see us in the future.
..and finally - Can you help?
We're looking for one or two super enthusiastic people to become co-event directors at our 'lil sister event. There are no set requirements in terms of experience or background, so if you fancy a new challenge for the new year this could be right up your street. If you know someone you think would be suitable, please let them know!
