Well our popular little community parkrun attracted visitors from Derbyshire this week. They were staying in Saltburn. It’s great when our nearby little Victorian town is so much on the map.
We had some really strong young runners today. Our first finisher , William cruised past the finish with a PB. We had only two first timers so we had 33 locals.
We had one of our youngest volunteers today. Daniel helped support the runners down in the dip while his mum ran. He did a great job and wants to volunteer next week so it’s great to capture the youngsters. Thank you Daniel.
A big shout out to Billy who I discovered today only started running at 63. Well done for achieving a new PB this week Billy.
Well we certainly felt the chill of autumn today and the thermals came out ( for me anyway)
So see you next week and to finish thanks Pam and Gary for stepping in as volunteers this week.
Well done to all who have ran other events today including the cross country at Acklam and of course the London Marathoners. It's great to see events coming back on the calendar, just remember parkrun is great training! If you have an event on a Sunday, why not take the opportunity to rest on the Saturday and volunteer instead - take a look at the roster for any roles we need filling.
This week 35 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 2 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 13 volunteers:
Paul WAUGH • Joanne MARSHALL • Dawn HARRISON • Judith BRIDGETT • Pam BENNETT • Daniel HORNSEY • Malcolm PEGGS • Jacob MARSHALL • Sonia STOCKS • David STOCKS • Gary BEARD • Beth PEARSON • Colin PEARSON
