Melksham parkrun #101 – 28th December 2019

It may have been Twixtmas or Chrimbo Limbo or whatever you like to call that time between 25th December and 2nd January when you struggle to think what day of the week it is – but for the 171 of us who headed to King George V Park on 28th December we knew for sure it was ‘parkrunday’ formerly known as Saturday J

Having all had to miss out or be a parkrun tourist the previous week due to a rare cancellation, we were all delighted to be back on home turf, or should I say mud?

CN-01      CN-02

Despite the conditions an amazing 11 PB times were achieved – congratulations to all!

27 first timers to Melksham were warmly welcomed and three milestones were celebrated:

Tracey Bailey and junior runner Athena – 50

Photo01And me – 100 and 25th volunteering

And although not an official milestone, Sam and Nat were rightly recognised for their 100th volunteering roles – totally awesome effort ladies, Melksham parkrun simply wouldn’t be the same without you unstinting support and incredibly hard work, week in week out. Thank you from us all

But can you recognise them without their hi-viz at the recent 100th birthday party?.

OK this might help ;-) Happy tourists the previous weekend, yeay a Saturday off!!

No official photos from the day hence giving a little bit more info on the first 3 finishers above. Think the volunteer photographers deserved a day off in Twixtmas!
